Home Remedies for Common Fever

A few home remedies I've tried have been very helpful when I or my family is going through a fever. First of all it's very important to keep your self hydrated when you are sick and especially if you're having a fever. Drinking plenty of water and orange juice can very beneficial. The orange juice helps with digestion, increased urinary output, promotes antibodies for faster healing and recovery. It gives energy and vitamins, over all a great source for fighting fevers.

Symptoms of Common Fever: -

The symptoms of common fever are body pain, trembling, dehydration, vomiting and sickness, constipation, sweating due to fast respiration process. Another sign of common fever is high temperature which can leads to mental disturbances and death.

Causes of Common Fever: -

The actual cause of common fever is the accumulation of the toxic due to unhealthy living and wrong feeding habit. It also caused by infection.

Home Remedies for Common Fever: -

• Add a tsp of glucose or honey to a fresh juice of apricot. Apart from reducing the fever, it also satiates the need for liquids and gets rid of harmful products.
• Grapefruit juice also acts favorably in curing common fever. Prepare ½ glass of grapefruit juice and add equal quantity of water to the concentrated mixture. Intake this mixture once a day to get relieved from the burning sensation.
• A person suffering from common fever is suggested to have lots of oranges. It increases the energy in the body and promotes resistance against infection.
• Another effective remedy to cure common fever would be to boil a cup of water. Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder, some ginger pieces, onion pieces, lemon grass, ½ a tsp of black pepper and 5-6 basil leaves. Intake this mixture three times a day to treat common fever.
• Avoid eating solid foods until the fever is gone. You can replace the foods by drinking plenty of distilled water and/or juices.
• If the fever does not exceed 102 degrees let it run its course. It helps the body to fight infection and eliminate toxins.
• The juice of grape fruit is a valuable diet during common fever. Take half glass of grape juice with same amount of water. It will help to reduce the burning sensation.

Diet Tips for Common Fever: -

• Easily digestible diet is advised for the patient
• Drink as much water as you can in order to replace fluid loss. It will also help to bring down body temperature.
• Drinking the juice of the leaves of tamarind (imli) with some turmeric (haldi) powder and cold water to get rid of infections and fever
• Small amounts of whole grain bread or biscuits can be taken with milk. Heavy foods that are difficult to digest like fried foods, fast foods, meat, chicken, fish, and raw foods should be completely avoided.
